The goal of Katsutaka Imae and Yuki Ito was to hit targets in the 4m+ range with a shad body only 57mm long. The mounting position of the Instant Shifting Balancer System, Micro LBO (PAT.) allows for a super forward leaning stance that is impossible with normal ball weights. Ito moved the balancer head toward the intersection of the lip and body, and used a shaft with extremely small diameter bearings that allows for the super forward mounting.
This large-lipped small shad can fly extremely far and managed to produce an amazing diving vector. The excellent combination of aerodynamics and hydrodynamics gave the IxI SHAD the extreme performance needed to hit deep targets.
